Nathaniel Grann – Washington, DC – Photojournalist Inquiry
Hello,
My name is Nathaniel Grann. I am a senior photojournalism major at the Corcoran College of Art & Design here in Washington, DC. The seniors within my program are all required to undertake a major senior thesis project, a project that is a long in depth exploration into a subject that they feel very passionate about. For my project I am hoping to explore the American Roma communities and how the Roma have adapted to not only American culture but also to the lifestyle and the subsequent effects. Through the use of images and video, I hope to give a glimpse into the life of various American Roma, large or small, communities.
I first started working with the Roma in Kosovo this past summer during which I worked with the NGO, Danish Refugee Council. The rich history and traditions within the Kosova Roma was an eye opening experience and why I wish to continue exploring their culture throughout this next year here in the states. You can feel free to see some images from my work there at:

If you feel that you can at all help me with this project or might have a suggestion of some other possible contacts, it would be greatly appreciated. I am more than willing to set up a Skype conference and discuss this project in greater detail; if you would like or please feel free to give me a call at (612)867-3867. Also, please feel free to send me any questions that you might have about the project and I will respond to them as soon as I can.
Thank you for your time and kind regards.
